Caribbean Talent Exposure (CTE)
What is Caribbean Talent Exposure (CTE)>
Caribbean Talent Exposure brings together talent, knowledge and organizations to create opportunities and strengthen the athletic development of children and young people.
We believe everyone deserves a fair chance to discover and showcase their full potential. That is why we work with sports clubs, coaches, specialists and community partners to support talent in a professional and educationally responsible way.
What is the promise of Caribbean Talent Exposure (CTE)?
At Caribbean Talent Exposure, it’s about more than selection. We develop athletes, character, confidence, discipline, and a vision for the future. We connect talent with opportunity and work together to build the future of sport and each child’s development.
What makes Caribbean Talent Exposure unique?
We are independent and work with various clubs and partners as an organization. The child’s best interests always come first.
Athletic performance matters, but personal development comes first. That’s why, in addition to sport-specific coaching, we provide developmental support so children can grow in a safe and positive environment.
If parents are unable to cover the participation costs, we may allow their child to take part in our program free of charge.
In our view, financial circumstances should never be a barrier to talent development.
What is a participation fee waiver?
Together with our partners, we have made this programme possible to give young talent a fair chance to develop further, discover their strengths and pursue new sporting opportunities. Financial circumstances should not be a barrier to talent development. If parents are unable to cover the XCG 299 participation fee, they may be eligible for a waiver.
Parents or guardians who are unable to cover the participation fee may apply for a full or partial fee waiver. In addition to specific documents supporting the application, we also ask for a brief explanation of the family’s financial situation and why fee-free participation is necessary. Each application is reviewed confidentially and individually by an external party. A waiver is granted only after review and approval by the organization. Submitting an application does not guarantee entitlement to a fee waiver.
How does the participant fee waiver review process work?
How to Apply for a Participation Fee Waiver
We believe financial circumstances should not be a barrier to a child’s athletic development. That’s why Caribbean Talent Exposure, in partnership with our partners, gives parents and guardians the opportunity to apply for a full or partial fee waiver.
The following procedure applies:
Step 1 – Submit an Application
Parents or guardians may submit a request for a fee waiver to the organization. The request must be submitted before paying the participation fee.
Step 2 – Explain your financial situation
When applying, please include a brief written explanation of your family’s financial situation and why paying the participation fee in full or in part is not feasible. Applications will be assessed by looking at the relationship between total household income and fixed monthly expenses. We take into account the family’s financial capacity, household composition, and any exceptional financial circumstances. Based on this information, we will determine whether a full or partial fee waiver is appropriate.
Please note: Providing proof of income, such as pay slips and bank statements, is one of the requirements for consideration for this partial waiver. The social assistance standard applies.
Step 3 – Assessment
The organization reviews each application individually and confidentially. Among other things, the following will be taken into consideration:
- The family’s financial circumstances.
- The reason a waiver is needed.
- Whether a partial contribution is possible.
- The budget available for financial assistance.
Step 4 – Decision
Once the application has been reviewed, the parent or guardian will receive written notification of the decision. If the application is approved, the notification will specify whether the waiver is full or partial.
Important conditions:
- Submitting an application does not automatically mean that a waiver will be granted.
- The organization may request additional information when necessary for the review.
- All information provided will be treated confidentially.
- The number of waivers depends on the available financial resources and any support from partners.
- The decision on whether or not to grant a waiver does not rest with Caribbean Talent Exposure. We apply strict criteria.

How can Caribbean Talent Exposure make an independent selection?
To take part in the development program, we assess each child across several areas. These criteria help us make an objective and fair assessment while identifying areas for individual development.
Section 1: Physical Fitness
Fitness, strength, speed, endurance, and coordination, tailored to the athlete’s sport and age.
Component 2: General Fitness
Stamina, energy and the ability to sustain physical effort.
Component 3: Sport-Specific Skills
Proficiency in the fundamental skills, techniques, and movements required for the sport.
Section 4: Learning Ability and Development
The ability to apply feedback, learn new skills and make progress.
Area 5: Motivation and Commitment
Motivation, discipline, perseverance, and a willingness to train and improve.
How do you ensure quality and personalized support?
The number of places available in the program is limited. To ensure the quality of the program and the personal support we provide, places are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.
This means places are allocated in the order in which completed applications are received. An application is only considered final once the entire application form has been completed and all required information has been provided.
Registration closes once the maximum number of participants has been reached. We therefore recommend registering early.
How much does it cost to participate?
The cost of participating in our program is XCG 299.00 per child.
I want to register my child, but I can’t afford it. What should I do?
Financial circumstances should not be a barrier to talent development. Therefore, if parents are unable to cover the participation costs, their child may be able to participate fully or partially free of charge through the participant fee waiver.
For more information about the participation fee waiver, please visit this page.

The Program
We have developed a program to identify athletic talent fairly and independently, develop participants’ abilities, and showcase their potential. Through targeted selections and guidance, we identify each participant’s strengths and areas for development. Our program is divided into several components, each of which carries a specific weighting in the final result. The aim of our program is to give children a fair and independent opportunity to further develop their talent, take part in tournaments, and connect with sports clubs that can help them progress to a higher level. We believe every talented child deserves the chance to be seen, developed, and discovered. Our program has been carefully designed and supported in part by our partners. If you are unable to pay the XCG 299 participation fee, please see our options for a fee waiver. We would like to emphasize that we operate independently and are not affiliated with any club or association. However, we do work with organizations that may be part of or affiliated with a club or association. Our coaches and staff are carefully selected to ensure our program is delivered correctly and transparently. Our organization, partners, and coaches have no influence over the selection criteria and cannot influence the selection process.
Phase 1 - Registration through to pre-selection
We have developed a development program to assess athletic talent fairly and independently, develop their abilities and showcase their potential. Through targeted selections and coaching, we identify each athlete’s strengths and areas for growth.
Our program is divided into several stages.
Stage 1: Registration (November 2026)
At this stage, we assess your application and register your participation.
Stage 2: Intake (Sunday, December 6 and Sunday, December 13)
At this stage, we create a player profile for your child. We assess your child’s physical attributes and take professional photographs. As part of the intake process, your child will complete physical and technical tests in a group setting. This stage is spread over two days, with each day lasting 3 to 4 hours. We provide food, drinks, fruit and other healthy snacks on both days. Your child will also receive their kit when checking in on the first day. Please arrive on time to help the program and testing sessions run smoothly.
Our program starts on Sunday, December 6 at 9:00 AM. It ends at 12:00 PM.
- U11 start – arrive and check in at 7:30 AM
- U13 start – arrive and check in at 8:00 AM
- U15 start – arrive and check in at 8:30 AM
Parents’ attendance during the testing sessions
As an organization, we have deliberately chosen not to allow parents to be present during testing. We believe this allows children to feel more comfortable and independent, and to demonstrate their skills and performance naturally.
From an educational perspective, we believe it is important to give every child the space to be themselves, free from any outside influence, expectations or pressure. This allows us to observe and assess the child as fairly and objectively as possible, while always prioritizing their well-being and development.
We therefore ask parents to respect this decision and trust our professional coaching.
For each session, we ask parents to leave the premises at least 15 minutes before testing begins. Parents may enter the premises from 11:30 AM to watch their child participate.
Phase 3: Assessment (Sunday, December 6 and Sunday, December 13)
During this phase, your child’s performance will be evaluated. We will inform you of the outcome.
Phase 4: Analysis and Pre-Selection (Sunday, December 20)
At this stage, we carry out an assessment and pre-selection. There are three possible outcomes for your child:
RED - If your child does not achieve a satisfactory score in our tests, they cannot continue in our program. Naturally, we will share information from our assessment with you to help prepare your child for another program, where they may be able to participate again in the future.
U heeft geen recht op restitutie van uw kosten voor deelname.
Could this result have a significant impact on the child or parent(s)? We can provide professional support through one of our partners, completely free of charge, as stated in our promise and vision.
ORANGE - Each area is weighted. If your child receives an insufficient score in no more than 3 areas, we would like to continue supporting your child’s development.
We will personally inform you which areas your child did not score sufficiently in. We will then put you in touch with one of our affiliated coaches to prepare your child for the make-up day. The coach’s introductory session and the make-up day are free of charge.

GREEN - If your child achieves a satisfactory score in all areas, we would like to continue working with them. We will place your child in a pre-selection group.
Training sessions will be held for this pre-selection group, attended by national and international scouts. We’ll give your child the opportunity to stand out and can help facilitate a potential tryout or trial placement with one of our affiliated clubs.
Please note! Participation in our program and receiving a green score do not guarantee a tryout or trial placement at one of our affiliated clubs.
Phase 2 - Pre-selection and Training
Congratulations! Your child has achieved a satisfactory score in all areas and demonstrated talent, perseverance, and a range of strengths. Your child will advance to the next phase and become part of our pre-selection group.
Training sessions and practice matches will be held for this pre-selection group, attended by national and international scouts. We’ll give your child the opportunity to stand out and can help facilitate a potential tryout or trial placement with one of our affiliated clubs.
Please note! Participation in our program and receiving a green score do not guarantee a tryout or trial placement at one of our affiliated clubs.
During this pre-selection, we will make a final selection for a squad to compete in national and international football matches. Parents will be invited to an information session with more details.
Phase 3 - Matches, tryouts and internships
During this phase, we prepare for national and international competitions and facilitate potential tryouts and trial placements. We will discuss this in more detail with the parents of children who are selected. We will also provide guidance and preparation for parents and children during this phase. This phase includes an information session and the submission of specific travel and medical documents, both of which are mandatory.
Caribbean Talent Exposure is an independent talent development program. Participating in our program gives children the opportunity to further develop their athletic abilities and explore new opportunities in sport.
Please note that participation in the program does not guarantee selection, invitations to tryouts, trial periods, or placement with national or international football organizations. Caribbean Talent Exposure has no direct influence over these outcomes and cannot promise any specific opportunities or placements.
Parents and guardians cannot derive any rights from participation regarding the continuation, organisation or outcome of national or international competitions, try-outs, training camps or other sporting activities. Participation fees are non-refundable.
We are an independent organization, but we also depend on sufficient registrations, suitable selected participants, available partners, and organizational and financial feasibility. As a result, some activities may be modified, postponed or cancelled. If this happens, we will always communicate openly and transparently with the parents, children and partners involved.
We strive to provide every participant with the best possible support and create opportunities, but cannot guarantee individual sporting results or further opportunities.
